This Cookie Policy explains how Stellation Media LLC, trading as Fanbase Intel, uses cookies and similar storage technologies across fanbaseintel.com, growth.stellationmedia.com, billing.stellationmedia.com, affiliate.stellationmedia.com and stellationmedia.com, together referred to here as the Sites.
It expands on the Cookie Policy section of our Privacy Policy, which remains part of that document. Read the two together. Where they differ, please tell us so that we can correct the discrepancy.

01What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your browser across pages and across visits, which is what makes it possible to stay signed in, keep a checkout going, or count a visit only once.
Websites use several other technologies that do a similar job, and this policy covers all of them in the same way.
- Local storage holds key-value data in your browser until it is cleared. It is not sent with every request the way a cookie is.
- Session storage holds the same kind of data, but the browser discards it when you close the tab.
- Pixels and web beacons are tiny images or scripts, usually loaded from a third party, that record that a page was viewed or an action was taken.
- Software development kits and embedded players may set their own storage when you interact with content we have embedded from another service.
Cookies do not give us access to anything on your device beyond the information they were set to hold.
02How We Categorise Cookies
We group what we set into four categories, which are described one by one in the sections that follow.
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Sites to work at all: signing in, keeping a session, completing a purchase, and protecting the infrastructure from automated abuse.
- Analytics and measurement. Aggregate statistics about how the Sites are used, so that we can improve them.
- Advertising and attribution. Measuring the advertising we run, and attributing a signup to the affiliate who referred it.
- Embedded services. Storage set by third parties whose content we have embedded, such as video players and the support widget.
Consent, and what you can control today. We do not currently operate a cookie preference banner on the Sites. The analytics, advertising and attribution cookies described below are therefore set when you load a page that carries them, and the controls available to you today are the browser settings and the industry opt-outs described under Managing Cookies. A preference banner is planned. When it is in place, this policy will be updated to describe it and the categories it controls, and this paragraph will be replaced.
03Strictly Necessary Cookies
These keep the Sites working. They cannot be switched off while you are using the Service, and blocking them will prevent you from signing in, connecting an Instagram account, or completing a purchase.

No consent is required for these under the GDPR, because they are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for.
04Analytics and Measurement
These help us understand which pages are used, where people leave, and whether a change made things better or worse. They are not strictly necessary.

Google Analytics is configured to measure aggregate traffic and conversion paths on our marketing pages. It is being rolled out and not every page is tagged. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and where the option is available to us, IP addresses are truncated before processing.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
05Advertising and Attribution
These measure the advertising we run and record which affiliate referred a signup, so that they are paid correctly. They are not strictly necessary.

Where the Meta Pixel runs. The Meta Pixel is loaded on our free trial signup page and our call-booking pages, to measure the advertising we run for those campaigns. It is not loaded inside the client panel, and it is not loaded on the billing portal. We do not use a TikTok pixel or any other cross-site advertising pixel.
Where affiliate attribution runs. The FirstPromoter script is loaded on our pricing, signup and login pages, and in the affiliate portal. It records a referral code and nothing about your activity elsewhere on the web.
A note for California residents. We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and retargeting cookies, including the Meta Pixel, may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA and CPRA. You may opt out using your browser's cookie settings, using the industry opt-outs listed below, or by contacting us at support@stellationmedia.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".
06Cookies Set by Embedded Services
Parts of the Sites embed content from other companies. When that content loads, or when you interact with it, the provider may set its own storage under its own policy. We do not control these cookies and cannot read them.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy and cookie policy. Because third-party storage cannot be technically controlled by us, the references above are indicative. For complete information, consult the policy of the service concerned.
07How Long Cookies Last
A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it.
- Session cookies: removed when the browser session ends.
- Strictly necessary persistent cookies: retained for security and sign-in continuity, up to 12 months unless refreshed.
- Analytics cookies: commonly retained for up to 24 months.
- Advertising and attribution cookies: commonly retained for up to 90 days.
Exact durations are set by the provider and may change without notice to us. The tables above give the durations documented by each provider at the date of this policy.
08Managing Cookies
Until a preference banner is in place, the following controls are available to you.
Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the Service, and you may not be able to sign in or complete a purchase.
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Cookies and site data.
Industry opt-outs for advertising. These turn off interest-based advertising across the networks that participate in them.

- adssettings.google.com for Google advertising.
- facebook.com/adpreferences for Meta advertising.
Ask us directly. You can email support@stellationmedia.com at any time and ask us to stop processing your data through advertising or analytics cookies, and we will act on it.
09Do Not Track
The Sites do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common standard exists for how a site should honour them. To find out whether any of the third-party services listed above honour them, please read their privacy policies. Using your browser settings or the industry opt-outs above disables non-essential tracking regardless of any Do Not Track signal.
10International Transfers
Several of the providers named in this policy, including Google, Meta Platforms, Cloudflare and Chargebee, process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses, by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or by the provider's own adequacy mechanism.
Our own hosting and infrastructure processes data in the United States and Germany, as described in our Privacy Policy.
11Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal data processed through cookies and similar technologies, including the right of access, the right to erasure, and the right to object to processing.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with comparable rules, you may object to non-essential cookies at any time using the controls above or by writing to us. If you are in California, see the note under Advertising and Attribution above.

12Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Sites change and as providers are added or removed. The last updated date above tells you when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how we handle non-essential cookies, we will say so on this page.
